Our client, a manufacturing company in the Metro-Detroit area, is seeking a SR TAX ANALYST to add to their growing team.


The Sr. Tax Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the quarterly and year-end financial statement tax accounting, the consolidated federal and state income tax returns, sales and use tax returns, business license returns, annual reports, franchise tax returns, property tax returns, and other miscellaneous compliance returns. This position is also responsible for gathering, reviewing, and maintaining the integrity of the information utilized for the tax function. In addition, this position will support all financial aspects of our international holding company structure and may be assigned certain treasury functions as needed


  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and at least 4 years of tax, accounting and compliance experience.
  • Master’s Degree and CPA preferred.
  • Prior experience in both the public accounting arena and a corporate tax department preferred.
  • Strong tax compliance and processes is required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws along with some exposure to ASC 740 is required.
  • A solid knowledge of payroll and individual taxes as they affect corporations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Exposure to SAP BPC.
