Are you looking for an opportunity that will allow you to work closely with the CFO and Upper Management?

Our client is a small growing, privately held company in the Metro Detroit. They are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to add to their growing team. The Financial Reporting Manager function includes monthly preparation of financial statements/analysis, as well as looking for process improvement in the month end close cycle. The individual will also be heavily involved with the annual budget (and periodic updates and related analysis). This opportunity provides competitive compensation and benefits.


  • Oversee and prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Lead role in the month end close, annual forecast and financial analysis for the entire company and each region
  • The Financial Reporting Manager reports directly to CFO and will work closely with them to oversee the entire group and direction of the group
  • This person will work with external auditors
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and constantly improve financial control systems
  • In charge of reporting on hedging settlements, cash/debt management
  • The Financial Reporting Manager will be the point person for all CAPEX related items, including the accounting for fixed assets, preparing depreciation schedules and asset additions/disposals including CAPEX tracking
  • The Financial Reporting Manager will help prepare financial models, standard monthly financial reports and ad-hoc analysis as needed and directed by Executive Management
  • This person will also develop forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to add value to the operations side of the business as well as the strategic business plan


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • CPA (or parts passed towards CPA) designation preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in Accounting High level of US GAAP and Consolidation knowledge
  • Excellent communication, people, written and presentation skills
  • Team player who can work well with other functional groups
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality
