Our client in Roseville, MI is in need of an Inside Sales Team Manager

Purpose:

Our fast moving, customer oriented, financially strong, family owned company is looking to add an energetic, motivated, detailed oriented person to lead our sales team as an Inside Sales Manager. This position will report to the Executive Vice President and is responsible for managing all aspects of the inside sales department.

The ideal candidate will have a “whatever it takes” to get the job done attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing new strategies, tactics, and plans for future growth of company’s current supply base.
  • Build a solid inside sales team that exceeds sales goals.
  • Provide management communications to the Inside Sales Department.
  • Training & coaching Inside Sales Account Representatives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on sales metrics.
  • Managing the sales administration process.
  • Monitor associate productivity and motivate team to reach goals.
  • Coordinate department activities and projects to meet project timelines.
  • Evaluate and improve inside sales and sales administration processes.
  • Provide coaching to inside sales team and training to new inside sales associates.
  • Manage performance appraisal process and developmental plans for inside sales associates.
  • Interact with customers to address and resolve issues as well as maintain relationships.
  • Resolve interpersonal issues within department and escalate if required.
  • Schedule and lead department staff meetings, workshops, and functions.
  • Report to senior management on sales metrics and areas of opportunities.
  • Suggest improvements that can be made within the department to senior management.
  • Create aggressive program for non-moving/dead stock.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to increase efficiency (ex: same day rush orders).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
  • Management experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience reporting to a senior management team.
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a team.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Prior experience in program management.
  • Ability to motivate team members and extend support.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to perform under pressure.
