Our client is looking for a DIRECTOR OF FINANCE – FP&A located in Metro Detroit, MI.

The Director of FP&A will lead the financial planning and analysis team with budgeting, forecasting, preparing monthly and daily reporting packages and ad-hoc financial analysis processes.

The Director of FP&A will be a critical piece of the strategic and planning process, and must have the ability to provide summary level analysis across multiple functions throughout the organization. This position will report directly to the CFO.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.

• Lead the FP&A team in all essential duties and responsibilities and provide training and coaching to direct reports as needed.

• Ensure every level of the organization has the appropriate financial reporting to more effectively manage the business.

• Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, practice-level expenses, regional and corporate expenses and capital expenditures.

• Track the P&L versus budget and prior-year to analyze fluctuations.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly operational reports and board materials.

• Manage the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.

• Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed.

• Improve the financial performance of the organization by analyzing results and variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions throughout the organization.

• Increase productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements.

• Manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting and Modeling tools including CPM system, Adaptive Insights.

• Utilize Business Intelligence Tools to create and maintain Dashboards and operations reports.

• Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.

• Supporting Senior Management Team and field leadership with in-depth analysis.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred but not required.

• 7+ years of applicable financial operations experience in public or private industry.

• Experience with managing and leading teams.

• Experience with ERP / CPM software, Adaptive Insights, preferred, but not required.
