PROGRAM MANAGER - ROYAL OAK, MICHIGAN AREA

A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in the Royal Oak, Michigan area is in need of a Program Manager. This client is looking for candidates with Program Management experience and Stamping expertise. 30% Travel will be required for this role. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Paid Vacation, Good Benefits and a possible Bonus!!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all activities related to New Product Development.
  • Incrementally improve the profitability of new and current business through improvements .
  • Provide leadership and guidance to APQP team members . Monitor assigned programs ensuring that action plans, timelines and customer requirements are met and/or exceeded.
  • Escalate all real and potential roadblocks
  • Provide status reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all engineering documentation required by customers TS 16949 and gateway system is completed.


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • A minimum of five or more years od related Program Management experience in North America. Preferring Candidates who have worked with FCA and General Motors.
  • 30-40% Travel required.
  • Firm understanding of Automotive core Manufacturing Processes (Stamping, Welding, Assembly)
  • Previous Program Launch experience a requirement
  • General knowledge of provincial legislation affecting the workplace, e.g. health and safety
  • Thorough understanding of TS 16949 and ISO14001 requirements
  • Familiar with software programs that deal with relevant engineering functions
  • Understanding of customer expectations for assigned product group(s).
