Our client in the Grand Rapids area is looking for a BUSINESS ANALYST with manufacturing and ERP experience.


Responsible for support of global ERP software, Plex, with a primary focus on system/process improvements. Train users and assist with implementation of new modules as needed within the manufacturing environment. Also, responsible for planning, development, maintenance and continuous improvement of business applications outside of or in support of ERP system.


  • Assist ERP Manager with identifying resource requirements, establishing timelines, and detail task assignments for accomplishing implementation and/or reimplementation projects.
  • Administer security to users, based on defined model.
  • Contribute to the expansion and standardization of the above outlined user security model.
  • Work with Plex support to resolve software issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and drive reasonable standardization of processes within business systems.
  • Involvement in planning of new business applications as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement of existing applications.
  • Assist in the scoping and development of custom report requests. Also maintain existing reports within Plex, using SQL, VisionPlex, or IntelliPlex.
  • Ensure Plex standardization across all PCN’s including reports, menu nodes, and system settings as defined by the BPO group.
  • Train and support users on business applications.
  • Provide help desk support for IT needs as required.
  • Keep a clean and safe work environment.
  • Report all accidents and injuries.
  • Work hours required to effectively perform job requirements.
  • Meet attendance requirements.
  • Use good common sense and judgment at all times.


  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, IT or appropriately related field.
  • Minimum three years hands on experience as a business analyst for an ERP implementation, Plex preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of business processes including finance and manufacturing operations, specifically in an automotive supplier environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server or T-SQL.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with a multi-functional area support team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving.
