Our client is looking for an INTERNATIONAL TAX MANAGER located in Auburn Hills, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews calculations for Company’s quarterly and year-end income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740.
    • Includes collection of information required to compute the provision, book necessary entries, research tax issues as they arise, prepare account reconciliations, prepare the detailed work papers required to comply with auditing standards imposed by the SEC, the FASB, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and Company’s external auditors.
    • This includes the preparation and review of APB23 and FIN48 workpapers, foreign tax credit modeling and effective tax rate analysis.
  • Manages the preparation of international aspects of the US consolidated tax return including, but not limited to, Forms 5471, 8858 and 8865, Subpart F and other U.S. inclusions including new TCJA provisions impacting foreign units, foreign tax credit, and applicable statements/elections.
    • This includes managing the tracking of tax attributes of the Company’s international entities including earning and profits, tax pools and tax basis.
  • Assist on various tax projects including the U.S. IRS audit, transfer pricing, the headquarter time survey process, repatriation planning, supporting tax reform initiatives, etc.
  • This role would inherently include mentoring and training Company international tax analysts and finance staff.
  • Maintaining documentation supporting SOX and internal audits and assist in the development of revised policies and processes.
  • Assisting and supporting with planning projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8 years of tax experience (Industry/Public Accounting)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • MST and/or a CPA preferred
  • Prior experience in a corporate environment preferred
