Our client, a global manufacturing company, seeks a strong candidate for the position of Senior Business Analyst. The position is responsible for the financial modeling, tracking and coordination of all potential new business projects from quote stage until three months after SOP. The Sr. Business Analyst will interact with core team members to ensure that all milestones are being completed in order to provide our customer(s) with accurate and timely quotes that meet company hurdle rates relating to financial results.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and training on the creation of financial models for capital business case approvals for new business opportunities using MS Excel.
  • Review and approve all new business cases to ensure accurate reporting of financial results for Senior Management Capital approval.
  • Fiscal control and tracking of project financials to ensure corporate targets are met or improved over project life.
  • Provide financial feedback to the Business Development team throughout quoting and project phases to refine quote model parameters.
  • Coordinate the costing of quotations with Plants in accordance with established guidelines and managing the status of all new opportunities and engineering changes.
  • Understand current manufacturing operations and standard costing rates used in quotations including knowledge of capabilities and capacity at each location.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with major in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience related to controlling, costing, financial modeling and analysis.
  • Experience with metal stamping preferred
  • Possesses, acquires, and maintains the technical/professional expertise required to do the job effectively and to create client/customer solutions.
  • Experienced in standard costing procedures and requirements.
  • Strong MS Office skills; Word, Excel and Access
  • Ability to read blueprints.
