Territory Sales Manager (Toll Processing) - Hammond, Indiana

A growing and profitable Steel Company in Hammond, Indiana is in need of a Territory Sales Manager - Toll Processing. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Commission, Car Allowance, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays, Vacation and other Perks!!


Responsibilities:

Deliver on Annual Operating Plan for specific toll sales territory that is established by the Company's leadership team.

Utilize knowledge of company products, services and value-added applications to maximize sales and margin opportunities for current and prospective customers.

Attend Daily production calls with plant operations teams.

Work with established list of leads to generate opportunities and well as develop new leads to generate growth opportunities within the defined toll sales territory, and occasionally outside the territory as well.

Identify opportunities to deepen relationships with current customer base to identify incremental opportunities;

Strengthen relationships by spending time on site with customers on a regular cadence.

Conduct site tours in conjunction with Plant operations.

Ensures inside sales team is aligned with customer expectations.

Continually identify opportunities for margin enhancement.

Provide management with the necessary reporting on a regular and ad hoc basis.

Utilizes functional resources to develop out opportunities at the customer level (VA/VE).

Own the customer relationship by ensuring consistent and timely follow up to customer and key stakeholder inquiries; operate with a sense of urgency.

Builds cross functional team and customer trust, values others, creative problem solving, and demonstrates high integrity.Instills a passion for driving deep relationships with core customers.


Requirements:

1-3 years of Previous Steel Sales Experience and Territory Management required
Experience building Account Relationships within the Steel Industry
A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or multiple years of relevant Steel experience
Independent decision based on good judgment
Advanced communications skills (Verbal and Written)
Strong understanding of Flat Rolled Steel Processing Equipment preferred
Analytical; ability to analyze and interpret data
Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Strong negotiation skills
Strong MS office Skills (Word, Excel and Power Point applications)
ERP System experience is a plus
