A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in the Springfield, Tennessee area is in need of a Quality Engineer. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Vacation.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

•Provides engineering and technical support for current products and new product launches;
•Interfaces with customer quality representatives concerning quality problems and assures that effective corrective action is implemented;
•Interprets customer specifications and requirements;
•Applies and maintains quality operating system requirements and standards;
•Maintains good internal and external supplier quality levels;
•Serves as primary quality resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement;
•Designs and implements methods for process improvement, testing and inspection;
•Develops and analyses quality metrics;
•Ability to log into corporate supplier portal and access and navigate applicable customer portals;
•Participates in supplier development and monitoring activities;
•Participates in CPA audits;
•Participates in annual Control Plan vs Work Instruction audits;

Skills / Qualifications / Education:

•BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
•A Minimum of five years of Quality Engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment
•Tier One Automotive Quality Experience is needed. Stamping & Welding Expertise Preferred.
•Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, IATF 16949, ISO14001: 2015 and Control Plans;
•Problem Solving and Analytical Skills;
•Statistical Aptitude; Computer and Spreadsheet Proficiency;
•Strong Verbal, Written and Interpersonal Skills
