Corporate Quality Manager - Royal Oak, Michigan Area

A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in the Royal Oak, Michigan area is in need of a Corporate Quality Manager. We are looking for Candidates with Corporate Quality Management Experience, Multi-Plant Responsibility and Stamping and Welding Expertise. This Position will entail heavy Travel.

This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Vacation.


  • Standardize and improve the robustness of policies and procedures in the Quality Management System across all facilities. Make instructions and forms uniform throughout where applicable via best practices
  • Utilize Mandatory Quality Rules to drive continuous improvement and standardization within the quality operation of the North American Plants.
  • Establish relationships with internal and external customers to develop sustainable and irreversible resolution of customer concerns and effective on-site assembly plant liaison support.
  • Provide assistance to facility Plant Managers, Quality Managers and the Corporate Quality team in the implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvements activities to better manage their customer/internal quality issues and reduce overall Cost of Quality.
  • Report to upper management the status of plant customer concerns, closure of concerns as well as customer scorecard ratings of each facility on a weekly basis.
  • Communicate and monitor customer-specific requirements and necessary training to ensure such requirements are properly implemented and maintained by the plants.
  • Ensure that corrective actions implemented to resolve internal or customer quality issues are read across to all other facilities as lesson learned and that such countermeasures are captured in FMEA’s for future program launches of similar products. Utilize the lessons data base.
  • Facilitate safe launch activities are developed from effective risk assessments through APQP and launch activities. Coordination of resources at launch to identify the priorities based on the risks of the program.
  • Facilitate Plant locations with the understanding, industrialization and effectiveness of quality system IATF business processes and procedures. Create the linkage of the IATF business processes to the process owners with the KPI’s , business goals and management review.
  • Participate in the monthly quality team calls with Quality Managers and the Corporate Quality team from each facility to promote standardization and best practices.
  • Monitor quality performances of top priority facilities means of survey, internal and external audits, analysis of customer concerns, and make recommendations systematic improvements.


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is Preferred.
  • Strong Problem Solving and People Management skills to Lead, Direct and Coach Employees.
  • Corporate Quality Management Experience. Multi-Plant Responsibility. Stamping and Welding Expertise is Needed.
  • Preferring Candidates who are: Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, Quality System Auditor.
  • Looking a for a Proven Quality Leader in Automotive Tier 1 Environment.
  • American Society For Quality (ASQ) Certification Preferred. Excellent communication skills, both Written and Verbal.
