We are currently searching for a General Manager with 15+ years of Laser Processing experience.


The General Manager of Laser Processing will provide leadership of the Laser Processing business unit. They will be responsible for management of staff, P&L, sales growth and implementation of the company strategy. The General Manager of Laser Processing will partner with other leaders across the organization to ensure the support and needs of the business are met. They will foster a team environment and a strong service culture that ensures delivery of timely and quality driven products and services.


  • Manage the Laser Processing Business Unit in North America.
  • Supervise personnel in the automation and laser processing business units.
  • Develop engaged employees.
  • Define, analyze and evaluate key performance indicators.
  • Management of new product introduction process and development of technical risk management processes.
  • Program management of the department across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strategic development in collaboration with other departments towards the overall corporate product and technology strategy.
  • Strong leadership towards cost cutting efforts to increase product margins.
  • Technical leadership towards the further development of a technical and product roadmap.
  • Leadership position when addressing engineering changes and corrective actions in order to improve product quality.
  • Leadership position towards product certification for hazardous and industrial environments operations.
  • Support the identification, qualification and closing of new business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Support development and costing of complex, technical, proposals that include engineering, design, test and volume manufacturing.
  • Serve as a key member of the divisional senior management team, working closely with corporate executives and company senior management team.
  • Ensures product application development is suited to North American market.
  • Review and recommend capital equipment acquisitions to support growth.
  • Review and recommend personnel to support growth targets.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


  • BS degree required. MS preferred.
  • At least 15 years of work experience, with at least ten years in this field.
  • At least 10 years of general management and P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in a matrix management organization preferred.
  • Ability to present complex business and technical plans to the board of directors and other production staff alike.
  • Experience with advanced laser processing.
  • Experience with signal processing or detection algorithms would be helpful.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability and desire for a fast-paced multitasking environment.
  • US Citizenship or Qualified U.S. Worker
