Our client in Ravenswood, West Virginia is in need of a PROCESS QUALITY MANAGER


Process/Quality Manager is to lead the implementation of a quality culture throughout so every employee understands the requirements of our customers and has the ability to produce a quality product. The primary focus of the Process/Quality manager is to manage the quality control systems throughout including the quality certifications, process operating standards, and corrective action implementation. On a daily basis this position communicates the current performance on key quality indicators to the management team and helps coordinate investigations into department issues impacting those key quality objectives. The Process/Quality Manager also oversees and approves the implementation of work practices throughout to maintain compliance to required customer specifications and quality system accreditations.

  • Manage the product Engineers for Coil products by communicating and supporting the sales team customers.
  • Communicate performance to management team on key quality indicators.
  • Facilitate implementation of teams and projects to focus on areas for improvement or sources of short-term process failures.
  • Oversee the implementation of the quality system to maintain all customer specification and society accreditations.
  • Review and approve all quality system changes and corrective action responses.
  • Consistent test results from all systems.
  • Meet customer delivery expectations for all materials received.
  • No non-compliant material in the field related to testing deficiency.
  • Timely investigation and resolution for all quality related material issues.
  • Minimal non-conformances on internal and external audits through department.
  • Maintain targets established for , mill recovery, claims, and zero produced lots.
  • All claims resolved within a thirty (30) day time period.
  • Customer corrective actions resolved within time limits given.
  • Support for sales team as needed for communication to customers on technical and/or quality related issues.
  • Ensure managers are aware on a daily basis of the current issues impacting the key quality indicators.
  • Verify current operating issues are addressed in a timely manner to eliminate production of defective material.
  • No major non-conformances and minimal minor non-conformances for all customer, society, or internal audits.
  • Minimize corrective actions, claims, and no-produced material due to quality defects.
  • Ensure work in progress and lead-time through the lab maintained at targeted levels.
  • Takes the lead on MOC’s, SOP’s, 8D’s, MCR’s, FMEA and other reporting systems.

Technical Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in scientific, technical or engineering field
  • 10 years’ experience in Industrial Environment
  • 5 years’ experience Managing in a Union Workforce Environment
  • Automotive and Aerospace Quality Requirements including TS16949, NADCAP and AS9100
  • Leadership and Conflict Resolution Skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams for problem resolution
