Our client is looking for an Analytics Auditor located in Troy, MI.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Analytics Auditor will perform a variety of tasks which includes assisting with operational, financial, IT, and compliance audits. The Analytics Auditor will work as part of an engagement team to develop analysis and reporting capabilities for the Internal Audit department in addition to performing audit engagement procedures. The role will also be responsible for

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine data sources and acquire relevant data from primary and/or secondary data sources.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Design tests to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems and validate dataset for completeness and accuracy.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the Internal Audit Department
  • Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to Internal Audit team.
  • Develop continuous auditing and monitoring routines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or similar field.
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
  • Technical expertise regarding data modeling and data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting/visualization packages and databases.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, ACL, SAS, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
