Notes on the position:
• This is an implementer DBA
o Pushing code to different environments (Prod., QA)
o PL/SQL code being pushed multiple times a day
• 95% of the production databases are RAC with ASM on 12c, with a few 11g remaining
o The candidate should have an understanding of nodes/ clusters, but won’t be administering ASM
• We will be moving to 19c this year
• Unix shell scripting: ability to read, write, and understand
• Written & verbal communication and customer service skills are very important
• We have 3 implementers, on-call rotation is 1 week 24x7 every 3-5 weeks
• Needs to be assertive and comfortable being face to face with internal customers
• We are looking for somebody that isn’t driven by work instruction and must be able to work independently without detailed work instructions
• Ideally, this person will come from a smaller shop

About this Position: The purpose of the Database Administrator position is to…
● Plan, implement, support and maintain the Credit Acceptance enterprise database management system environments
● Control the migration of database structures from the test environment into the production environment
● Manage the production environments
● Monitor and tune production processes
● Simultaneously support small and large scope projects
● Demonstrate technical knowledge of all phases of the systems analysis activity

● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
● Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Oracle databases 11g or 12c
● Experience in performance tuning
● Proficiency in PL/SQL coding, troubleshooting, and performance tuning experience in a high availability environment
● Experience in an Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC) environment
● Experience with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
● Experience installing, upgrading, and patching databases
● Proficient in Unix Shell Scripting
● Participate in 24x7 on-call rotational schedule
● Have the ability to access Credit Acceptance remotely with personal provided hardware when on-call
● Work onsite at the assigned Credit Acceptance work location
● Experience as DBA in a J2EE environment
● Oracle DBA certification
