Our Client is looking for 2 FIS Specialist for a 2 year project. Location Detroit and or Warren

  • Responsible for ensuring a successful rectification of data from the Factory Information System (FIS) for new and kitted programs found within the Manufacturing Engineering
  • (ME) environment during all phases of program launch.
  • The FISS is responsible for supporting MECR FIS Team as well as Plant Maintenance in rectifying erroneous data and FIS messages on existing equipment.
  • The FISS position is also tasked with supporting regular team meetings to review progress and identify potential obstacles, monitoring projects to meet their technical and business objectives, review of lessons learned, solutions to current and past issues, tracking and updating action registers and coordinating work schedules.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the execution of rectifying reported data from Factory Information System (FIS) across the plant
  • Workbook
    • Using web application create workbook or event maps from FlS server of existing equipment
    • Update workbook with any changes made on the floor
  • FIS logic
    • Review standard products for message alignment
    • Ensure all devices are properly communicating to FIS Validate current messaging is correct or needs attention
    • Address any discrepancies
    • Assist with research and development
    • Lessons-learned evaluation

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Manufacturing,Engineering and Information Technology with an emphasis on PLC
  • Programming, IT Applications and Plant Floor Operations
  • Strong and proficient understanding of Rockwell Automation
  • Innovative thinker with excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Problem solving skills specific to Information Technology,network management and system designs
  • Experience supervising or leading a team of developers and engineers
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite software programs
  • (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Access, Outlook and SQL)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Information Technology Systems
  • Understanding of HMI Development;Wince and Factory Talk View
  • Manufacturing automotive process engineering knowledge
  • CAD software (ePian /AutoCAD) experience
  • Experience developing bid packages for new equipment
  • Experience with robots
  • Demonstrated team leadership and communication skills
  • Self-directed and motivated to implement change within the direction and scope
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to Senior Management
