Our client in Auburn Hills, MI Is seeking to hire a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE /TRAINEE.

POSITION TYPE: Full time. Immediate work. 6-month contract-to hire. PAY: 14.00 per hour

SCOPE: Assist a busy Shop in a number of Customer Service activities while learning Accounting skills.

DUTIES:

  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure that customers receive top notch service, that company processes are followed and that transactions are recorded properly and timely.
  • Greet walk-in customers and take calls.
  • Setup new customers in the system. Create estimates for customers.
  • Process customer sales orders – from taking initial order to recording the delivery or fulfillment.
  • Notify customers of financing options and current items on sale

LEARN HOW TO:

  • Review, enter, code, and process Purchase Orders.
  • Manage AMEX Pcard, reconciling statement and uploading needed receipts to match.
  • Accounts Receivable activities:
  • Daily invoice review. Create invoicing / credit memos.
  • Entering and process payments (Cash, Check, Credit Card). End of day cash report.
  • Review AR report, make calls and document any issues in the system.
  • Generate monthly accrual entries.
  • Assist in department support by ordering inventory, monthly inventory counts, and providing direct customer support. Will be expected to work a half day one Saturday per month.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook . Experience with any ERP system or QuickBooks.
  • Willing to work in a Plant/Shop environment.
  • Prior Customer Service experience.
