Our client, an entrepreneurial e-commerce business, is seeking a Head of International Business to further develop and grow the international business division through direct-to-consumer e-commerce strategies and distributor relationships.

The Head of International Business is a key hire, as you will be leading all international business efforts, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President and COO. This is an opportunity to lead the growth of a rapidly growing company globally, expanding our international revenues, while introducing and further developing new international markets and business development initiatives. Over time, you will build a team to support you with country-specific team leads, marketing professionals, admin support, and beyond.

Job Responsibilities

  • International Business Development: Grow the overall business through different business development initiatives.
  • International Marketing: Launch our international marketing initiatives to support direct channels and distribution partners, across both English and non-English speaking markets.
  • International Partner Management: Primary lead for all of our international distributors, overseeing the entirety of the relationship.
  • International Order Management: Manage the ongoing production schedule for international orders, understand and communicate partners’ needs for manufacturing/packaging, work with manufacturing to balance international and domestic production.
  • Department Development: Developing an international business team over time to support the growing needs of the business unit.

Qualifications

  • BA in International Business, Marketing, Communications, Management, a related field, and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business development role
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to influence and drive strategic decisions across the organization; second language is a plus
  • Proven success in managing, leading, and motivating others, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and lead a team
  • Proven leadership in challenging environments with a track record of driving continuous improvement
  • Team-focused, goal-oriented mindset with an aptitude for applying innovative solutions
  • Background in Engineering a Plus!
