Our client is seeking a JUNIOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGER in Troy, MI.

Position Description:

The junior Relationship Manager will report to the Portfolio Manager, and will be primarily responsible for the GGLD’s loan portfolio. This position will focus on SBA & USDA loan portion of the portfolio. This position will require a skill set involving the understanding of banking, risk management, leadership and vision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and preserve trusting relationships with co-workers and borrowers
  • Monitor and track watch credit accounts
  • Follow-up on past due accounts
  • Perform servicing actions which include payment deferments, collateral sales, changes to ownership structure, etc.
  • Understand borrower needs and develop plans to address them
  • Resolve borrower complaints quickly and effectively
  • Completing annual reviews
  • Collection of post-close documentation
  • Manage and monitor multi-draw accounts. This entails collecting and reviewing invoices, pay applications, lien waivers, etc.
  • Review quarterly production reports on operating solar farms
  • Assist in preparation on monthly reporting packages
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 4-year degree. Preferably a finance/accounting degree
  • Preferably 2 plus years of experience at a bank with a credit background
  • Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn both the SBA and USDA SOP’s as well as the Bank’s credit policies.
  • Must be detail oriented and analytical
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Problem solver with strong customer service skills
  • Must be able to multi-task, independently manage work flow and solve problems within company guidelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Company
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity of the insurance, hospitality or Solar energy industry
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
