Our client is looking for a Director of Operations located in Troy, MI.

Position Description:

The Director of Operations manages the Direct Originations Operational Department and develops, implements and reviews policies and procedures to create efficiency in processing transactions using sound business practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with other departments to develop policies and procedures to create efficiency in processing transactions using sound business practices
  • Principal responsibility of building efficiencies within the lease management software.
  • Assess, design, implement and monitor operational workflow processes designed to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Develop operational metrics designed to promote and create efficiency within operations department by utilizing data analytics with technology.
  • Create and update manuals/written procedures/guidelines for Direct Originations Operational Department
  • Work with other departments to select and implement new technology and software programs; draft related policies/guidelines/procedures for such programs
  • Supervise, develop and train direct reports (Documentation Manager and Contract Administrators)
  • Develop reports to manage department efficiency, workflows, workloads, and business policy requirements; provide reporting to management as needed.
  • Organize and lead regular department meetings
  • Organize and lead, or participate in, various other meetings with other departments
  • Responsible for departmental requirements related to internal and external audits, business continuity, system integrations, compliance, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Business
  • Experience in financial services preferred but not required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in managing internal operations with a focus on building efficiencies.
  • Must have a strong business sense and preferably a strong understanding of commercial finance.
  • Managerial skills and experience; ability to supervise and train direct reports
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities
  • Forward-looking operational development history along with data analytic skillset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Company
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and solve problems within time constraints and company guidelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with LeaseWave, Nautilus, Tableau and SalesForce a plus
