Programs die recipes for optimal press operations.
Optimizes transfer bars and SPM’s for maximum efficiencies.
Trains operators and other staff members on proper press setups and operations.
Assists with die trials and issue tracking.
Works with Maintenance Engineers to identify press issues and inefficiencies.
Assists with work instruction creation for stamping press operations.
Assists with quality concerns and RCA activities.
Provides support to other departments and team members as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Searches out and implements new technologies and Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Maintain proper filing system to ensure all information is properly stored and easily retrieved.
Carries out assigned responsibilities under IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
Any other reasonable request made by management.
Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the work place organization are supported and adhered to.

Experience & Skills:

Experience in the automotive industry with exposure to building equipment, HMI’s, electrical, stamping presses etc.
Working knowledge of stamping presses and stamping operations.
Working knowledge of decoilers and destackers.
Sound understanding of IATF 16949/ISO 14001 requirements
Working knowledge of Stamping and Welding Processes
Computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, CAD key
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Effective problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to handle multi-tasks and changing priorities
Works well in a team environment Effective presentation skills
