Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is in need of an EHS Coordinator

  • Directs implementation of company safety programs, to include developing safety methods, procedures and policies based on company guidelines.
  • Monitors compliance programs and company metrics analysis and improvement system;
  • Monitors facility and processes for adherence to OSHA guidelines;
  • Performs job analysis and measures and evaluates effectiveness of safety policies, makes needed modifications;
  • Leads the emergency response team (ERT) and safety committee;
  • Assists in the management of worker’s compensation and responds to employee accidents with treatment, follow up, and internal reporting;
  • Initiates action to prevent accidents from both conditions and acts/behaviors;
  • Initiates, performs, develops, and oversees all aspects of safety and environmental training and documentation;
  • Investigate EHS related accidents and near-misses, implement corrective actions, track corrective actions to closure
  • Identifies and evaluates hazards, recommends corrective action as necessary;
  • Recommend processes and safety features that will reduce employees’ exposure to chemical, physical, environmental, and biological hazards.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards
  • Maintain records in accordance with internal and external requirements, including but not limited to OSHA and Internal metrics
  • Manage the ISO 14001 & 45001 Programs to ensure compliance to the standards
  • Conduct EHS audits, implement corrective actions, track corrective actions to closure
  • Responsible for approving new chemicals and maintaining Safety Data Sheet Database
  • Coordinate emergency drills
  • Manage the contractor safety program and ensure contractor training is provided
  • Assist in monitoring the activities of on-site vendors/contractors to ensure compliance
  • Complies, generates and file annual regulatory reporting as assigned
  • Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
