Our client in Detroit needs to hire a Part Time Accounting Clerk to provide support as soon as possible. You will assist the Controller by entering accounting transactions into the system and performing administrative duties as assigned.

JOB TYPE: Part time (3 days Mon/Weds/Fri 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM), long term contract

PAY: $13.00-$15.00 per hour


  • Provide daily accounting support by using your data entry skills to enter customer payments into the computer.
  • Learn new Accounting duties over time.
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Follow instructions provided in training on internal policies and accounting procedures.


  • High school or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 1 year of any type of Accounting experience. Example-entering customer payments (preferred), creating invoices, paying company bills, modifying spreadsheets, typing in accounting data etc.
  • Ability to answer phones and file documents
  • Software: Entry level Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook email.
