Our client in the Adrian, MI area is seeking to hire a talented HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER. This role is open due to an internal promotion that has taken place. In this exciting HR Manager role you will lead a 3 person team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

​Reporting to the Plant Manager, the HR Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Manages employee relations as well as labor relations issues consistent with salaried employee policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Source, screen and recommend candidates for employment and conduct new employee orientation for both hourly and salaried requisitions.
  • Responsible for salaried appraisal process
  • Ensures compliance with various training initiatives as required by the site and corporate initiatives
  • Support local workers compensation program
  • Counsels employees and members of management on various aspects of salaried policies and programs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience within HR
  • Labor Relations experience in a Union Environment
  • Plant level manufacturing experience
