Our environmental services client is looking for INDUSTRIAL SERVICE OPERATORS direct hire for their St. Louis, MO location

1st shift

Our client is a fast growing, full-service environmental company with locations throughout the Midwest and the South. Operates over 26 water treatment facilities as well as providing a wide array of industrial and field services throughout the United States. Position Scope: Technicians are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with tank cleanings, high pressure water / dry ice blasting, facility decontaminations, emergency response clean-up, hazardous waste clean-up, the handling of hazardous materials, washing / cleaning equipment and trucks and other duties as may be assigned. The successful candidate will be flexible to work various shifts and available for travel.

JOB DUTIES

• Use manual tools (shovels, rakes, scrapers, squeegees, brooms) to clean industrial, institutional and government facilities • As trained and certified, operate water blasting, ice blasting, media blasting and chemical cleaning systems • Perform yard, shop, equipment maintenance and housekeeping assignments • Complete site-specific documentation and duties as assigned by crew leader or supervisor • Ensure equipment and company property is maintained in proper condition • Travel as necessary to assigned job sites (company transport available outside of Metro Detroit) which will include multiple overnight assignments

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment • Able to communicate with team members as well as on-site customer representative effectively and professionally • Able to troubleshoot equipment, and as the need arises perform minor repairs • Must be willing to travel overnight for assignments as required • 40 Hr. HAZWOPER Training preferred but is not required Essential Physical Functions/Requirements of the Job: • Ensure that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times • Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty • Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl • Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 40 pounds

• Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time • Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters • Must be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection • Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, fork lifts, sky traks, etc. • Must be able to climb ladders, work from stationary platforms from elevated heights and confined spaces • Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
