Our client in Downtown Detroit needs to hire a talented ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ANALYST.

JOB TYPE: Full time. M-F Days. Direct Hire with benefits.

PAY: $50,000 to $60,000 annual depending on education and skill level

Covid: In office training. Post training will be on rotation with other AP staff in office/remote

SCOPE: Provide daily supporting to the Accounting department by processing accurate and timely Accounts Payable transactions, posting Journal Entries and handling expenses.


  • Review incoming invoices, properly code and post to corresponding accounts in the system.
  • Process checks, ACH’s and payment transfers in a timely manner.
  • Scan and file invoices, along with the supporting documentation, into the electronic filing
  • Post General Journal entries and reconcile General Ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile multiple monthly bank statements and credit cards.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to research and resolve Accounts Payable related issues.
  • Create and review monthly cash disbursement reports.
  • Reconcile petty cash reports.
  • Serve on the team that supports the receptionist by answering incoming calls and distributing incoming mail and packages in the receptionist’s absence.


  • Bachelor’s degree and a very high degree of knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Five or more years of solid Accounts Payable experience.
  • Accounting skills that include supporting month end closing, generating journal entries and reconciling General Ledger and bank accounts.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office including Excel/Pivot tables/VLOOKUP.
  • Confidentiality – Proven ability to exercise discretion and complete confidentiality regarding proprietary and client information.
