A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area is in need of a Tool Room Manager. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Vacation. Relocation Package Available.

JOB SUMMARY

Full responsibility for the control, quality, throughput and safety of the tool & die process for all Three Shifts with up to 35 Tool Maker's Total.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Continuous improvement leader for all three (3) shifts;

2. Plans and administers personnel capacity for optimal production.

3. Trains, directly supervises and communicates to the employees regularly the tool & die and safety guidelines;

4. Leads individual and team meetings;

5. Assists in the preparation and optimization of maintenance plans of dies;

6. Document and assess repairs made;

7. Order and maintain spare parts stock.

8. Ensure cleanliness and order in department.

9. Assists in leading individual and team meetings.

10. Ensure safety rules and PPE being adhered to;

11. Planning of schedules, shifts and vacations;

12. Start immediate actions in the removal and repair of production failures.

13. Participation in the Layered Process Audit schedule.

14. Participation in the Internal ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Audit schedule (applies only to certified ISO 9001/IATF 16949 internal auditors).

15. Participation and cooperation in answering questions and providing information for internal and external audits regarding or related to ISO 9001/IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and customer standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

1. Previous Automotive Tool Room Management Experience is Required

2. 10 years spent working in Tool & Die Trade in the Auto Industry.

3. Transfer & Progressive Stamping / Die Expertise is Required.

4. A Tool and Die Journeyman's Card is Required.
