Our client in Metro Detroit needs to hire an INTERIM HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR to provide support.

JOB TYPE: Open Ended Contract. Full Time. Immediate Work.

PAY: $90,000 to $120,000 annual depending on educations, skills and work experience.

SCOPE: This person will direct all areas of Human Resources and oversee the HR Team. Seeking candidates with a great work attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.


  • Oversee all of Human Resources areas such as recruiting, employee relations, organizational planning, compensation, benefits, stock, and payroll.
  • Create and implement strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training, development, etc.
  • Manage benefit plans including health and life insurance.
  • Manage ESOP program.
  • Oversee all Human Resources initiatives, systems, and operations
  • Supervise the work of HR group and provide daily support.
  • Serve as the point of contact for elevated employment relations.
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks
  • Directly report to Senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience at the HR Management level for mid to large sized company.
  • Benefits and Stock administration (ESOP) experience required for the role.
  • Must be able to handle highly confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be 21 years or older and be able to pass a background check
  • Willing to provide support to the growing Cannabis industry. Corporate position.
