A growing and profitable Automotive Supplier in the Auburn Hills, Michigan area is in need of a Plant Quality Manager. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Vacation.


The Quality Manager is responsible for the compliance and improvement of the Company's Quality Management System to achieve optimal levels of quality, productivity and safety to assure internal and external customer requirements that are met by performing the following:

• Report abnormal quality KPI's and customer scorecards and their related corrective/preventive actions to General Manager and Corporate Quality
• Track the QMS required quality metrics and develop action plans to achieve green metrics
• Review customer complaints and initiate effective root cause analysis and irreversible corrective actions to prevent recurrence and satisfy the customer
• Drive and support plant activities toward achieving customer certifications and industry quality registrations
• Oversee the activities of required customer actions to assure timely and proper responses
• Review customer and engineering requirements to ensure the success of new production launch by compliance to APQP and PPAP activities
• Direct supervisory responsibility for the plant quality department team included; selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations and work schedule
• Ensure the purchase product, in process or finished, is inspected according to the procedures established in the QMS
• Educate, train and coach employees by identifying relevant quality training needs
• Lead the APQP project teams with responsibility to contribute to the successful launch of projects
• Developing and leading best practices and Lessons Learned to the plant level
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement efforts companywide in order to improve the overall quality while improving efficiency and productivity
• Work closely with other managers to address the day to day problems - issues - opportunities to review and improve product and process quality
• Occasionally travel to customer assembly plants to review products and interact with customer personnel.
