Finance Manager

Our client is a growing professional services firm looking to hire a Finance Manager. The Corporate Controller will be a critical contributor to this plant’s overall financial success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to creating the financial insights for the state of the business, including client / department profitability and performance, staffing utilization and trends, and the identification of opportunities for optimization.
  • Assist with development of monthly Dashboards.
  • Assist in development of agency planning and quarterly forecasts.
  • Is the primary client contact within firm for finance on assigned clients and takes an active lead in the weekly/monthly status meetings with the client teams, including:
  • Responsible for client profitability. Distributes and reviews monthly financial reports to the Brand Leadership team.
  • Is actively involved in the day-to-day decisions regarding all open projects as they impact finance.
  • Ensures development of monthly revenue projections.
  • Assists the Finance Director with client and new business pricing in accordance with established metrics.
  • Ensures Sarbanes Oxley and internal compliance and process are followed.
  • Fills a critical internal niche between Finance and Brand Leadership; combines skills from both disciplines.
  • Ad hoc requests from the Finance Director.​

Qualifications and Experience:

Required

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years experience in a finance or accounting role. Advertising agency experience preferred.
  • Experience with ASC 606 preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office; with high proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to makes decisions and resolves problems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of staff.
  • Able to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, reliable, responsible, accurate with an attention to detail.
  • Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
  • Flexible and a good team player.
  • Must be willing to put in extra hours when necessary.
