Looking for a Communications and Marketing Specialist on a direct hire basis for our automotive client located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Job Summary: Communications and Marketing Specialist will assist the Global Director of Communications and Marketing with managing external and internal communications strategies, as well as promoting a positive public image and controlling the dissemination of information on Company’s behalf.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Exceptional project and time management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media and digital marketing best practices, along with experience implementing them in a professional environment.
  • Three to five years of related experience; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, public relations or any other relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to support the development and delivery of the annual strategic Communications and Marketing plan.
  • Compose a number of communications including employee announcements, speeches, newsletter articles, global announcements, and others as assigned.
  • Assist in the development and execution of a digital media strategy, including social media, online newsletters, videos, and audio media. Ensure consistent messaging and brand tone, while aligning with overall market goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies as needed to meet project timelines and ensure global projects are launched on time.
  • Research and communicate potential global events, tradeshows and new opportunities. Implement approved project plans, including exhibits and customer events.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing well-designed, dynamic, and error free webpages for public websites and internal employee portals (intranet).
  • Research and collect data from on-line data services, publications, conferences, industry associations, and research organizations. Integrate results into ongoing communications strategies and planning.
  • Execute new marketing programs; support in optimizing marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
  • Assist with presentation preparation and speaker coordination.
  • Assist in media inquiries and develop press and influencer relations.
  • Provide overall communications support in managing various sponsored events and internship programs.
  • Help maintain, stock and archive organization brochures and technical deliverables.
  • Assist in the development of technical deliverables, tradeshow signage, radio/TV scripts, press releases, technical articles, website content, by-lined articles, and quarterly newsletters.
