Account Manager

Our client - a large, global manufacturing company in Rochester Hills, MI - is looking to add a sales person to their growing team.

The Account Manager will be responsible for hunting new business in automated manufacturing, and should have a familiarity with capital equipment, as well as robotics and / or lasers.

Responsibilities

  • Be the trusted technical advisor to our customers. Introduce and sell solutions to both existing and new account prospects to achieve established goals and grow market share through solution selling.
  • Use and accurately maintain the company’s CRM system for all customer and sales process data to ensure teamwork, collaboration, and global transparency towards providing an amazing customer experience.
  • Develop direct customer relationships using deep understanding of customers’ business needs, production applications and technical language utilized in their environment.
  • Use consultative sales techniques and solutions as a differentiator to improve customer production efficiency and solve our customers’ most difficult challenges.
  • Work with Global Resources to expand the customer base in the territory
  • Provide an outstanding customer experience and accurately manage customer communications and the customer relationship with new and named accounts.
  • Achieve Sales budgets and forecast accuracy for the business unit territory

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in robotics, lasers or manufacturing equipment
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of five years in a key account/sales position.
  • Understanding of business processes and revenue generation.
