Our client is looking for Sr. UX Designer located in the Metro Detroit area. (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES for Sr. UX Designer

You’ll be working collaboratively with a geographically distributed team. Here are some of the things that you can expect to be doing day-to-day:

  • Work with stakeholders to help define feature requirements
  • Brainstorm ideas and create mockups, prototypes, and similar artifacts that clearly communicate design concepts to the rest of the organization
  • Participate in cross-functional design reviews, effectively communicating design ideas and soliciting stakeholder feedback
  • Bring simplicity to complex design challenges and user scenarios
  • Occasionally plan and moderate user interviews and usability studies
  • Create design artifacts that both visually delight and serve users’ needs
  • Work with and help maintain the UX design system and component library
  • Solve design problems through teamwork, open collaboration, and consensus-building
  • Evangelize the importance of human-centered design throughout the entire organization
  • Work directly with developers and product owners to ensure the finished product meets the design goals
  • Stay current with UI/UX trends and innovations through team-lead learning opportunities

REQUIREMENTS for Sr. UX Designer

  • 4+ years experience in a UI/UX Design role, preferably working with enterprise-focused B2B software applications
  • Experience with creating responsive design in the context of web applications and mobile UI, in support of the deskless worker
  • Understanding of design principles for accessibility and internationalization
  • Experience with a variety of concepting, prototyping, and visual design tools (Figma and Adobe Suite), and aptitude to quickly learn new tools as needed
  • Some experience conducting user interviews and usability test sessions
  • Ability to clearly express justification for your design choices and effectively give design feedback to others
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with a distributed design team
  • Comfortable working remotely
